Responsibilities included management of accounting functions for two companies (Fraternity and Foundation), creating investment reports, and providing counsel for personnel administration (including the pension plans and payroll).  Created management reports to enhance the decision-making process for the Board of Directors and the Executive Director. 

 

Achievements

·         Researched, selected and implemented new accounting software

·         Introduced zero-based budgeting

·         Created and chaired a committee for budgeting

·         Implemented new accounting standards ahead of schedule (FAS 116, 117 and 124)

·         Investigated and switched energy and telephone services, saving more than 20 percent
